Leichhardt is a Skills Assured Supplier (QS 102434) for VETiS funding in the state of Queensland. VETiS funding is available to all year 10, 11 and 12 students studying in Queensland secondary schools. This funding covers all costs for eligible students.

We offer the following qualification to schools under VETiS funding:

  • MSL20122 – Certificate II in Sampling and Measurement (offers entry level technical training in skills applied to scientific sampling and measurement in a field situation)

Our Certificate II course has been developed with the support of scientists and engineers to meet the exacting standards of industry, government and the scientific community. Students will learn from practicing scientists who have worked on some of Australia’s largest resources and infrastructure projects. The successful student will be qualified to conduct environmental sampling and measurement under supervision. Most students however, will continue to develop the skills we cover when they enter university to study engineering or the sciences.

This course represents an exciting opportunity to provide valuable vocational skills to the “Best and Brightest” secondary students in the state. All Leichhardt trainers hold tertiary qualifications in one of the STEM areas, vocational training qualifications and have a current blue card. This ensures our training is of the highest quality.
